Performance: Wradar's solid breeding shows in his own quality. He is a very modern type and extravagant mover. He successfully completed the 100 Day Stallion Testing in Ohio, Fall, 1998, placing third overall and was the highest placed Oldenburg stallion at the Testing. His final score was 123.29, with a dressage index of 130.14. We are particularly proud that this homebred stallion's scores were above average in every category. USDF
All Breeds Awards: His first show in 2002 was the DDC show in Dallas on May 11 and 12 under trainer Ann Webber. Wradar won both Prix St. Georges classes and also his debut class at Intermediare I with 69.25%. He won the PSG on Saturday with 71.25%! He also earned the FEI Championship and High Point Oldenburg Award. Wradar finished the 2002 competition year in first place in the USDF All-Breeds Awards for Oldenburg/ISR and the German Oldenburg Verband at both Prix St. Georges and Int- I. In 2003, spent the first half of the year with Lena Wedenmark in Miami, Florida in preparation for what would hopefully be a spot on the Pan Am Teams for Barbados. Lena is the coach for their international team and Akoela Roachford - the rider who would be competing him. Wradar was a participant in the Kyra Kirklund Symposium at the Kentucky Horse Park in April and stopped on the way home to compete at the MGDA Dressage Show in Georgia, where he won the Prix St. George on Saturday and Intermediare I on Sunday. Akoela and Wradar achieved the final qualifying scores he needed for a spot on the Barbados Team at the Pan Am Games in Santo Domingo. His previous qualifying scores were earned at Wellington, Florida. We are happy to have Wradar back home now at Woodridge Farm, where he is schooling Grand Prix with trainers Laurie Hedlund and Alf Athenstaedt. |

Progeny: Wradar is proving himself as a sire, producing many premium foals, most of whom are scoring 8 or more for movement. (Check out the Highlights on the Home Page for this years foals results). The Champion colt at our inspections in 2001 was Wannabe, by Wradar out of Tequila (Frohwind), and in 2002 the Champion Colt was Wessex, also by Wradar and out of Double Feature(Baron). We are looking forward to hearing from our clients as his first foal crops start competing under saddle. In 2003, Wiebok, out of Wiebekin (Der Radetzky) was the high score FEI 5 year old at the Region 9 Championships at his first show and was 6th place at Training Level in the Southwest Dressage Championships. In 2004, Wingover by Wradar out of Katianne(Frohwind) was Region 9 Training Level Champion with 77% under owner, Ann Webber. He also has several offspring successfully competing in the hunter ring on the East Coast. |
