Congratulations to Tracey Merlin, Yorkshire, England owner of Domani WF (aka "Doodle") by Dauphin out of our EM Lambada who won his first dressage competition today (Jan 5) with 67.93% in the novice class.  A great way to start the year!



...and here is "Doodle" again at the Shearwater British Young Dressage Horse 4 year old competition on March 27. He won this class with a 79.6 and is now qualified for the National Championships at Addington in August.  Congratulations again Tracey.

Congratulaions to Amanda Edwards, owner and rider of Allouette (Arrian/Witta/Wolkenstein II) on winning both of their First Level classes at the Texas Classic April 5/6

Another great start to the year was had by Cyndi Craig and her Faxxsimile by Frohwind. For the second year in a row Faxx won both his classes and was Champion Half-Arabian Sport Horse in Hand gelding at the January Jubilee at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, TX.

Oldenburg/ISR;
Wrendition by Wradar out of Allegra (Frohwind) owned and ridden by Nancy DySard was Champion at Training Level Adult Amateur  with 71.4% ; Reserve Champion in the Open Training Level;  Reserve Champion First Level Adult Aamteur with 67.237% and 5th in the Open First Level. Wrendition was bred by Natalie Cwik.

French Henry by Frohwind out of Double Feature (Baron) owned and ridden by Sharon Zaidins was 5th at Training Level Adult Amateur. French Henry was bred by Woodridge Farm

2007 Highlights:

Congratulations to Sharon Zaidins on her success with French Henry (Frohwind/ Double Feature) this year. They were Reserve out of 37 entries at the SWDC Championships and 3rd in the Region 9 Championships - Training Level with 69.6%. They won the HDS Training Championship with 70.4% and were 5th in the USDF All-Breeds Awards - Oldenburg/ISR for AA Training Level.

This lovely mare is Fleur de Lis by Frohwind out of Sweet Georgis Brown by Calvados, bred by Alice Gorsuch, OH and owned by Elizabeth Hoople, CA.  Fleur de Lis was the highest scoring mare out of all the ISR/Oldenburg inspections in 2007, with 115 points!

Congratulations to Tracy and Harry DySard on the success of their Wradar gelding Wrendition this year. He was Reseve Champion at Training Level and 6th at First Level in 2007 USDF All Breeds Awards. Wrendition was bred by Natalie Cwik out of Allegra by Frohwind and is ridden by Tracy DySard.

 Future Image, the 2003 colt by Frohwind out of Tracy Ammons mare Flash ofan Image, was named Top 10 Half Arabian Sport Horse Gelding In-Hand ATH at the Arab Sport Horse
Nationals in Lexington VA on Sept. 28.  Out of 51 horses in the class,
Frankie finished 7th with a score of 70.5.  Congratulations to owner Dona Hoffman, who says" to say we are thrilled here
in Maryland is an understatement".

Congratulations again to
Cyndi Craig and her Half-Arabian 2 year old, Faxximile by Frohwind who was at the Arab Sport Horse Regionals last weekend.  Faxx was Region 9 Champion Half Arabian Gelding Sport Horse in Hand Amateur to Handle and Region 9 Champion Half Arabian Gelding Sport Horse Open. He had the highest score over the entire 11 in-hand entries!  Faxx was bred by Tracy Ammons, DVM.  

This is D'Elysia (Der Radetzky/Elysia/Eiger) owned by Nicole Johnson shown here competing at a Training Level one-day event in April.  This pair are also competing at AA H/J where she was Champion in her jumper division at their last show.  D'Elysia was bred at Woodridge Farm by Marefield Meadows, VA

Peekaboo - a Frohwind/TB daughter owned by Merne Hayes and ridden by Verena Stock did great at the Lamplight, IL show on May18-19, winning four out of five of her Training Level classes with scores to 75%.

At the same show, Roccoca WF (Rienzi/Turteltaubchen) was Reserve Champion in the USEF/Markel FEI Young Horse Selection Trials

Cyndi Craig took her two year old Frohwind , Faxximile to an Arabian sporthorse show where they were First in the Amateur Division and Second in the open class to finish as Reserve Champion Sporthorse In-Hand Half Arabian Gelding. He scored 92 with perfect 10s for movement - both walk and trot - each time out! Good luck to tem both at the upcoming Arab Regionals! Cyndi has two other Frohwind offspring - Flying Colors and Faeryn. She'll be debuting with "Fling" at Second Level this year.

Congratulations to Deryn Stewart and her Der Radetzky daughter, D'Erin on their success at the Hutchison, KS show last weekend (June 2/3). They all won all four of their classes with scores from 65.5 - 70.2% and were First Level Champions.  They also won the MASA sponsored "Born in Mid-America" award. WTG!

Allouette (Arrian/EM Witta) and Amanda Edwards won three of her four Training Level Classes with scores to 65.217% 
Falstaff (Frohwind/TB) and Martina Blood had a 1st, two 2nds and a 3rd place at Training Level with scores to 68.57%
Verena Stock and Wradar won all three of their Fourth Level classes with scores of 66 to 68.14% to achieve the Fourth Level scores necessary for Verena's Silver Medal
Amaya (Frohwind/Anja) and Lisa Fox were 2nd and 3rd in their classes with scores to 61.43%
Dante (Der Radetzky) and Patty Couch were 1st through 3rd in their classes with scores to 61.2%
Katianne (Frohwind/Katrona) and Kathy Hoyt won two of their 3 classes at First Level with scores to 64.72%
Verena Stock and Roccoca WF (Rienzi/Turteltaubchen) won both of the FEI 5YO classes with a 7.58 and 7.88 and both of her First Level classes with 70.67 and 74%
Fancy That (Frohwind/Banter) and Nancy Litsch rode at First Level with scores to 61.67%
Fanderelle (Frohwind/TB) and Julie Williams competed at First Level with scores to 61.94%
D'Erin (Der Radetzky/Akelei) and Deryn Stewart won three out of four of their First Level classes with scores to 64.44%
Eclipse (Der Radetzky/TB) and Mary Hawkins won two of their three Third Level classes with scores to 62.308%

How nice to see ELEVEN horses that were either by our Woodridge stallions or out of our Woodridge mares, all competing at the same show!

Allouette (Arrian/EM Witta) and Amanda Edwards won Training Level Test 1-Am both days with scores to 72.61%
Amaya (Frohwind/Anja) and Lisa Fox were 2nd n Training Level Test 4-Am both days with scores to 64.4%
Falstaff (Frohwind/TB) and Martin Blood won three of her four Training Level classes with scores to 75.71%
  Dante (Der Radetzky) and Patty Couch won two of her classes at Training and First Level with scores to 69.2%
Katianne (Frohwind/Katrona) and Kathy Hoyt won First Level Test 2-Am and was 2nd in their other two classes with scores to 63.33%

Congratulations to Lisa Fox and Amaya (by Frohwind) and Amanda Edwards on Allouette (by Arrian) on their success at the March 25 GCC Schooling Show. Amanda and Allouette won their Training Level Test 1-Am class with 73.043%. Lisa and Amaya won Training Level Test 2-Am with 73.571% and T4-Am with 69.6% to which also earned her the Amateur Training High Point Award

This is Mimi Benton and Dexter of Hot Springs, AR at a recent show. Last year they won the Training Level Championship and the Jim Bishop Perpetual Trophy with scores to 75%.  Dexter is a Hanoverian gelding by Der Radetzky out of Akelei and was bred by Woodridge Farm

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig on her success with Faxxcimile - a Half-Arabian yearling by Frohwind bred by Tracy Ammons, DVM, TX - at the ARABS January Jubilee, TX Jan 13. Faxx was Champion Half-Arabian Sporthorse Gelding In-Hand and High Score Half-Arabian! Cyndi says:"Most importantly, he was a very good boy and settled into the show routine very well".  He is now qualified for the Arabian Sporthorse Regional Championships in July.

Frazuhr by Frohwind, owned and ridden by Tracy Walker (IL) was 5th in that same division 70.677%

Pride of Radetzky by Der Radetzky out the TB mare Grand Pro, owned by Robin Ritter and ridden by Jennifer Parker (AZ) was 5th in the Region 5 Great American/USDF Prix St. Georges Open Championship 61.35%

Faralyn, a Half-Arabian daughter of Frohwind owned & ridden by Linda Stoudemayer (TX) was 5th in the Region 9 Great American/ USDF Training Level Adult Amateur Championship 65.192%

Eclipse by Der Radetzky owned and ridden by Mary Hawkins (TX) was 4th in the Region 9 Great American/ USDF Third Level Adult Amateur Championship  

Sophia LH by Scimitar out of Ava Gabor by Arrian, owned and bred by Heather Quinn, was Champion Filly in the Great American/USDF Breeders' Championship New England Series Finals 79.9%

USDF All Breeds Awards - ISR/Oldenburg:

 Wrendition by Wradar out of Allegra by Frohwind, owned and ridden by Tracy DySard (IL) was Training Level Adult Amateur Champion and 5 th at First Level   

Fancy That by Frohwind out of Brissta by Banter, owned and ridden by Nancy Litsch (OK) was Vintage Training Level Champion and 4th Training Level Adult Amateur   

Flying Colorz by Frohwind, owned and ridden and bred by Cyndi Craig (TX) was 4th First Level Adult Amateur  

Double Entendre by Frohwind out of Double Feature by Baron, owned and bred by Woodridge Farm, ridden by Verena Stock, was Reserve Champion Second Level Open 

USDF All Breeds Awards - Hanoverian:

 EMC Rococca WF (pictured below) was 4th at Training Level in the USDF All-Breeds Awards - Hanoverian with a median score of 72.692%. At the recent American Hanoverian Society's AGM, she was awarded the Dr. Hartwing Prize for best North American bred mare which is tabulated with the compined score of her Mare Inspection and Mare Performance Test scores.  She was also the recipient of the Engler-Friedlander award for the mare with the highest performance test score of the year - which was 8.5

Our own Roccoca WF, by Rienzi and out of Turteltaubchen, ridden by Verena,  was Reserve Champion USEF 4 year old at the Young Horse Dressage National Championships in KY, September 9.  Her score of 8.7 included 9 for Submission and 9.4 for General Impression.  The Judges commented: "This is a lovely mare with lots of potential. She has been started in the right way and has a clear, correct rhythm with good reach in all three gaits."  Roccoca WF was also Champion Mare and Champion in the Mare Performance Test at our recent Hanoverian Inspections.

Congratulations to Nancy Schulba, Grass Valley, CA owner and breeder of Avonda (Arrian/Rohdiamont)- the highest-scoring Hanoverian mare at the Rainbow Equus Meadows inspections and new Elite Mare Candidate. From the AHS Magazine:"This stunning black five-year old mare earned a 9 for her beautiful head and a series of 8's for her neck, typiness and femininity, her trot at liberty, her walk and overall impression and development. Her final score of 7.86 ranked her in the top five of this year's inspections...Avonda was also a deserving winner if the MPT at this site (giving) a convincing display, completing her MPT with a final score of 7.61, including an 8 for rideability."
